Bizare Dreams

OKay here are some descriptions of some dreams I had last night. Possibly something to do with the drugs I'm taking..

Dream #1 : Went to Sydney with some mates. Have no idea who but then hopped into a clothing outlet and tried some new clothes on. Well not really. I tried on a Sydney FC shirt (wat the) and then when someone called me to meet them at Central, I had a Didier Drogba shirt on and I couldn't leave cos u know I have to take it off. Except I couldn' take it off and it was stuck on my head. Because of that, I was late and my friend already went back to Canberra......

Dream #2: I am now a leader of a Roman Legion attacking some barabrian outpost in what I suspect was Germania. Firstly i walk up to their primitive excuse for a wall and make fun of their lack of class (some football reference there) and mention that while they are a numrous and passionate, they have no leader and no organisation. I then get a rock thrown at me to which I dodge. I turn back to my legion who are organised in triangles and tell them the day is ours. So the battle starts and then we procede to destroy the barabians. But then all of the sudden these French generals appear and start organising the Germans into ranks. I'm furious and go and tell the French generals to go back to their own time period cos they were dressed like Napeleon like. We still win adn the French gernerals say bon voyage and go back to the their place in histroy

Dream #3:

I'm walking down teh street (possibly somewhere in Woden or Civic) and all of the sudden a giant rock appears on the side and reaches to sky. A ladder drops down (like the rope ladder at rock climbing) and all of the sudden all these people want to climb it. I decide it's better to keep walking because I thought the rock was a illusion. Then as I'm walking dow nteh street, the street suddenly takes a massive dip. I then ask Bear Grylls (what... BEar Grylls?!) if it's safe to go down. He says... " No we need some rope!" and then he goes and gets some rope.

Dream #4
I'm now shopping for a new car so I walk into the Mercedes Benz dealership. Funny thing is that there are no cars jsut urinals everywhere. I ask the dealer where are the cars and he tells me their hidden so that people don't steal them. I then need to go pee but then the only toilets around are the urnials out in the open. I ask the dealer why the urnials are out in the open like this. His reply is "So that we can keep an eye on the urnials so no one steals them."  At last I find a toilet that is in a closed room but the urnial is like a giant pool. All the gentlemen who are doing their buiness are too busy admiring the pool.

So is there a connection between these dreams? No idea lol

Reflection #4

I'm loving my Glo. I think I know why I can't access web content....Click on image for better look I think

But have a look at that photo. Imagine Jesus looking down at the cross and looking at everyone there. He would have a pretty good view.

From Mark 15:31-32 tghe teachers of the law said  "He saved others but he can't save himself! Let this Christ, this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe."

Thats us, mocking Jesus. Everyone who jsut toss asides God's love on a cross and laughs at the weakness that Jesus would show on teh cross. We do this by not obeying his commands and not placing all our trust in him. "You couldn't save yourself Jesus from death! How can you save me? Why should I follow you?". Or maybe we're a crowd that's just like "Psst, i'm holy and good enough. I don't need some son of a carpetnder to die for me! if he's truely son of God, then he msut show himself to me!". Either way, the Son of God is there on the cross before us, and we are unmoved and simply tell our donkeys, doesn't matter lets go get drunk now.

He might look a bit to the right and see the soldiers. The men who put him up on the cross.

Mark 15:16-20 is the mocking of Jesus by the soldiers which can be summarise by the last line."Then they led him out to crucify him". That's us. Not jsut the Romans who throught this was another rebel to put down. We're out there hammering that nail in. Our sin put him up on that cross. Hammering every nail in to keep him in place.

But Jesus looked past all of this and what does he do?

He prays for us moments before he is arrested in John 17-20-22 "I pray also for those who will beleive in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be as one as we are one."

The Son of God. The one that was there before creation. Exalted on high, now on earth about to die by the flawed creation that is man. That is the sinner. Yet he prays for the sinner to be reconciled with God. Reconciled with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. With this followed by a silent amen, it becomes fulfilled with a quiet and sad:

"It is finished" John 19:30

But that's not it. Also from the cross, he sees his tomb. But it isn't closed! It's open with two angels next to it!

"Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee?" said the angels in Luke 24:6-7

Jesus knew he was to be risen and he knew what had to be done to save humanity. Live die and rise again.

They say "Rise, rise and rise again until lambs become lions" ... Well reeally on Robin Hood's dad said that lol. Well God said to Jesus "Live and Die on Earth, And Rise so Man is Saved."

It's not over with his death. He rose again to give us hope. He rose again and looks toward us, our hearts hardened like the high priests and our hearts purely pointed towards His own death. What does he say ?

"For God did not send His Son to condemn the world, but to save it through him." John 3:17.

And even the people, us, who put him up on the cross are saved. Because he stepped down from teh cross and with his arm reaching for us, he said "I love you.".

And to finish off with an anti-climax and product promotion, Glo is a great interactive bible! Pretty much this post jsut comes straight out of one of their databases with their captions on their pictures. It's quite useful :D

Reflection #3

1 Corithians 15:1-11

Now, brothers , I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise you have believed in vain.

For what I received I apssed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on teh thrid day according to the Scriptures and he appeared to Peter and then to the Tweleve. After that, he appeared to more than 5 hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, through some have falled asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

For I am the least of the apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them -- yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. Whether , then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.

To my Christian brothers and sisters, what is hope and joy we hold on to? It is the gospel that has been revealed to us by God. That Jesus died for our sins only to be risen again. He is ALIVE and is our Lord. Sin is defeated and we have so much to look forward too because when the time comes, we will be reunited with our Creator and Father. And in the mean time in view of God's mercy, offer your bodies as living sacrifices holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spirtual worship of God (romans 12:1).

Jesus is alive. How can we not give our lives to God? Out of his lvoe and mercy, God raised jesus and also God will raise us. Our lives are then for our God. What does that mean? Well i think these verses sum it um pretty well.

Jesus replied: " 'Love your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it. 'Love your neighbor as yourself'. Al lthe Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Matthew 23:37-40

That's pretty much it. Love God and Love neighbor. These combined means our lives are to be devoted to worshiping our God and our lives are devoted to loving each other as God loved us. It oh-so-easy in word but it's defintely harder in practice.

But that's why Jesus risen is so important. Our Lord is alive and with that ahead of us, we can endure whatever difficulties we face. The Holy Spirit works in us and helps us love God and love each other.

That alone is amazing ain't it?

2011 is coming up very quickly and I know it's going to be another grace filled year where God will show me so much.
